Possibly prototype or incredibly early release

This is an original vintage putting trap produced by the long-defunct Berghman Co., 54 S. 19th Ave, Maywood IL, a small mid-century sporting goods company. These traps predate the official 1947 commercial release as confirmed in a newspaper article referring to the "Hole-in-One" trap made by Berghman Co. (Practisor)
Condition: Unused (NOS) : includes original metal trap, unbent flagpole, and original wrapping made from authentic 1930s phonebook pages with real names, addresses, and early American telephone exchanges favor “CHGO HGTS-2762-Y-4.”

    Color: Red

Extras: Paint chipping is from natural aging, not use. a few paper wrappers still have original paint transfers, proving long-term untouched storage.

As referenced in a 1947 trade newspaper: “GOLF PUTTING TRAP : A newly-released golf putting trap of steel construction called HOLE-IN-ONE... manufactured by the Berghman Co., 54 South 19th Ave.
