About the foundation

Sopowerful Foundation, established in 2019, is a foundation registered in the Netherlands (RSIN 8607.69.483). Our mission is to apply ‘solar where it matters most’, this is in contexts where it impacts lives of people at the ‘ bottom of the pyramid’.

The solar power installations we realize enable or empower Healthcare, Education or access to Water where this creates (or improves) opportunities for children. We rely on crowdfunding for financing of our projects, which means individuals and businesses can make a very tangible contribution to the achievement of our projects.

As a recognized  ANBI, or ‘Public Benefit Organization’, our board does not receive any remuneration for its activities and efforts.
