Released in 1965 by Topper Toys, a subsidiary of De Luxe Reading Corp., Sixfinger was a quirky spy-themed device designed to resemble an extra appendage.Once nestled in a child’s hand, the finger-shaped toy offered several covert options, including the ability to shoot a “secret” bullet, a cap bomb that “exploded” on impact, and a fragmentation bomb that broke apart upon hitting its target.Sixfinger also allowed junior secret agents to fire off an S-O-S missile with “HELP” engraved on its side and a Message Missile that could hold a ¾-inch by ½-inch strip of paper with encoded messages.The toy’s sixth feature was an attachable ballpoint pen.
