In order to create a large bulb, separate annually to proper spacing for best results. Time to propagate is based on daylight hours, so will vary by location. This may take some trial and error to get the timing right, but they willingly reproduce.Walking onions multiply at the main bulb and with bulbils once a year. Separate bulbils and plant directly in the ground at least 6” apart for optimal results.These have a wonderful sweet onion flavor that varies slightly depending on when harvested. Can be used for bulbs or green onions depending on season. We use the green onions especially during the winter for a fresh green.All of my plants and produce are always organically grown.
