| We used to have big water problems, sometime the whole hospital would end up without water for days. As a result the staff would go out to fetch water in boreholes, which was a lot of work.Pumping water using grid electricity was very costly and unreliable for the hospital. But now that we have steady water supply through the solar system.Hygiene of the hospital facility and personnel has improved. Unlike before there is water in all hand wash facilities, the laundry where dirty and contaminated linen is cleaned same as the showers and the toilets. The hospital does not provide food for the patients. there is now clean and safe water at the guardian shelter where food is prepared. |
